Venezuela did it again, Stefania Fernandez was proclaimed as the new Miss Universe 2009 during the live telecast of the 58th Annual Miss Universe 2009 at Paradise Islands in Nassau, Bahamas.
It was a back-to-back win for Miss Venezuela as the reigning Miss Universe 2008 Dayana Mendoza, passed the crown to the new Miss Universe also from same country thus making it a first in history of Miss Universe for having a two consecutive winners in a row.
